Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (Honours) in appropriate discipline.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in appropriate discipline
• Valid Offshore survival certification
• Current Offshore medical
• Fellow of relevant Engineering Institution

Experience:

20+ years oil & gas industry experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide corporate business activities
• Manage project teams as the project sponsor
• Act as technical authority within the Altra Quality Management system
• Authorise and approve all cost estimates and proposals provided to clients
• Ensure that project managers and senior engineers have adequate resources to perform their functions
• Authorise and approve recruitment of new staff
• Authorise and approve major expenditure items
• Mentor the development of staff engineers
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, initiatives and new technologies
• Develop & maintain good client relationships
• Actively involved in leading business development activities

Level of Supervision:

• Leads a team of experienced engineers and project managers
• Defines work scopes and assigns resources to clients and projects
• Can work independently and will check quality of work prepared by individual engineers or teams
• Provides challenge and support at all levels of engineering throughout the company
